Goodbye, farewell, and Amen

Hello All,

And thus it comes to an end. As all good things do. Frodo and Bilbo sail away into the west. Harry Potter gets married. Master Chief disappears. Luke Skywalker becomes a Jedi Master. Some endings are more glorious than others. Some ignominious, some quiet and trembling as they reflect upon the suffering that they've overcome. This ending, perhaps is just the beginning. The beginning of a lifetime of service. I look back at the plains of suffering that I've crossed, the mountains that I've climbed, the crevices that I've crossed. Through dale and over hill, across valley and vale onward I've dared. Now, this leg of the journey ends. I look back and see the pitfalls that captured me, and the titans that I've conquered. I cry at the loss of friend and foe because of all that means to me. As I look forward, I cannot see the end. But I know in my heart that I will never be alone. He will never let me down, as long as I listen. He will never leave me alone if I follow Him. That's just the way it is.
I won't write much more. I don't have a lot of words to describe what I'm feeling, not in English nor in Spanish. It's difficult.

I know that Christ lives. I know that this is His work. Every missionary says that but I really know that it is. And I know that He'll continue to use me for the rest of my life. For that, I cannot wait.  Here is to each day and the new adventure it will bring.

See you next week
